In the Lady Buccaneers' season opener, they rebounded from allowing two first inning runs to earn their first win.  Allatoona starter Caitlin O'Shea pitched a complete game, and allowed 2 runs - one earned - on three hits and struck out six.  At the plate she finished 2-for-3.

After allowing two runs in the first inning, Allatoona responded with two runs in the third and scored five runs over the next three innings to down the Lady Astros.

Megan Nesbit ws the Lady Buccaneers' top hitter, as she finished 4-for-4 with 3 RBIs, including a solo home run.

Kara Chambers finished 2-for-3 with an RBI and a stolen base.  Jessica Finch was 2-for-4 with an RBI double.   Marrietta Daily Journal, Tuesday, August 17, 2010.
